Compliance & care

Know the Requirements. Respect the Boundaries.

Georgia requirements

Effective July 1, 2026, O.C.G.A. § 43-21-16 requires covered on-site inn employees to receive annual human trafficking awareness training developed or approved by the Georgia Attorney General’s Office. It also requires reporting policies, training records and compliance with the notice requirements in § 16-5-47.

Confirm coverage, timing, exemptions and current agency guidance with Georgia counsel. Our assessments and coaching do not replace legally required approved training.

Read the Georgia Act

Voluntary operational enhancements

Readiness assessments, dashboards, tabletop exercises and ongoing reviews strengthen implementation; they are not separate statutory mandates identified in the Act. No governmental certification is offered.

Warning signs are not proof of trafficking. Responses must protect privacy, avoid profiling and prioritize safety. Employees should escalate concerns through appropriate channels, not confront guests or conduct their own investigations. Call 911 for immediate danger.

This program does not guarantee prevention of all trafficking, elimination of lawsuits or legal immunity. Federal civil exposure under 18 U.S.C. § 1595 depends on the facts and applicable law. Have Georgia legal counsel review your obligations and engagement scope.
